PSG boss Thomas Tuchel Says Neymar is an Artist, Find Out Why

Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel is planning to build his side around Neymar, despite reports linking the Brazilian with a move away from the French champions.

Neymar joined PSG from Barcelona for a world-record £200m fee in 2017 and has since scored 28 goals in 30 games in his debut season in French football.

However, the 26-year-old has been consistently linked with a return to La Liga with Real Madrid.

Tuchel, who replaced Unai Emery as manager of PSG earlier this month, met with Neymar last week to discuss his future and fully expects the Brazilian to remain at the Parc des Princes for next season.

“I met Neymar last Sunday. It was an important meeting. He’s an artist, one of the best players in the world, a key player to help us win our matches,” said Tuchel.

“If we find a way to build a structure around him, so he can show all his talent on the pitch, I think we have a key player to win our games.”

Tuchel added: “I met a very friendly, very open guy for the first time. We started talking about football and I saw a smile on his face and that is what I want to see.”

Neymar has been out of action since fracturing a metatarsal in his right foot on February 25. He was, however, named in the Brazil squad for the upcoming World Cup in Russia, which gets underway on June 14.
