Deserving KPL stars who were snubbed by Harambee Stars coach

Newly appointed Harambee Stars boss Sébastien Migné named his first ever squad which will represent the country in friendly matches against Swaziland and Equatorial Guinea later in May.

Here is a list of player who deserved a chance
Elvis Rupia
The Nzoia Sugar striker is the Kenyan Premier League leading scorer with 11 goals after 16 rounds. He has been able to score more in a short period of time. He was given a chance to train National team in the first session held at Camp Toyoyo where the coach assessed local players but has be ommited in the final squad.
Mike Madoya
The 2017 Kenyan Premier League Most Valuable player has been on a fine form this season and he is second on scorers in the league. The midfielder has goal tally supersede what many striker have achieved this season. He has been shown consistent performance for the last two seasons while featuring for Zoo.
Nicholas Kipkirui
Madoya and Kipkirui have netted a total of 17 goals for Zoo. Kipkirui sits third on the top scorer’s log. The attacker is one of the players who have been working hard to lift struggling Zoo FC.
Bernard Ochieng
Ochieng has always been a stable defender at Vihiga United. He has extended his form to their first season in the league. With the absence of David Ochieng and David Owino in the team he deserved a chance to showcase his stability at the back.

Other player who deserved a call include: Eugene Mukangala and Shami Kibwana of Thika United. Hassan Abdalla of Bandari and George Omondi who has been oustanding in Ulinzi Stars defence.
