Gor Mahia FC took second point CAF Confederation Cup after a draw against USM Alger of Algeria at a soggy Kasarani Stadium turf on Wednesday. They played the last half hour of the match with one man less after defender Joash Onyango was sent away for a second bookable offence.
In this game which wasn’t much of a nail-biter, three of the best goal-scoring chances fell to Gor with George Odhiambo rifling his shot against the post from a tight angle.
The match got off to a quick start with Gor goalkeeper Boniface Oluoch forcing into his first save of the evening when he comfortably collected Mohammed Meftah’s fifth minute free kick.
