The outspoken Central Organization of Trade Unions (Cotu) secretary general Francis Atwoli has defended the president over the ongoing National Youth Services (NYS) scandal.
According to Atwoli,“President Kenyatta means well for this country. He is very much concerned about Kenya. His problem is that for all these years he has no one to assist him.”
He added saying that the president has been deserted by his top government officials to fight graft by himself. He has now gone ahead to accuse government official for apparently lying to president Kenyatta.
The opposition has however demanded the resignation of Cabinet Secretaries Henry Rotich (Treasury) and his Health counterpart Sicily Kariuki as well as budget boss Ms Agnes Odhiambo over the NYS scandal.
