Nairobians woke up to the news on Thursday morning that National Resistance Movement self proclaimed general Miguna Miguna has been nominated as the Deputy Governor of Nairobi.
However, a quick flashback reveals that Miguna actually believes that the governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko is a thief and should be in jail not at the City Hall leading the Kenya capital City’s economic development.
“My friend Sonko is looting every land in Nairobi. He has a criminal record from Mombasa where he was jailed because of fraud, forgery and drug dealing and he ran away from jail so he is a cartel with a criminal record,” said Miguna during a televised interview before the elections.
It would be interesting to hear whether Miguna, currently locked out of the country, still stands by the sentiments or has reconsidered now that the ‘meat’ has been dangled.
