Polycarp Igathe has a new job.
Ex-Nairobi Deputy Governor Polycarp Igathe has been appointed by Equity Bank as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)
Before moving to Equity, Mr. Igathe was the Nairobi County Deputy Governor before his abrupt resignation claiming that he had failed to earn the trust of his boss Governor Mike Sonko hence the people of Nairobi. His resignation took effect on January 31st 2018. Prior to his government role, Igathe was the Managing Director of Vivo Energy.
According to sources, Igathe will be joining the bank’s very top management and be part of the key decision makers.
The role will see him bounce back to the corporate world where he used to be before politics.
