Beware! Ebola is back, new outbreak kills 17


The government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) declared an outbreak of Ebola after 17 people died because of the virus.

The health ministry has confirmed the outbreak and described this as ‘public health emergency with international impact’.

The world health organization (WHO) also confirmed the presence of Ebola virus after testing the blood samples of 5 patients.

WHO is working closely with DRC. The health ministry is hopeful that they will successfully wipe the virus out from the country, the way they did in 2017 outbreak.

A cabinet meeting was also set-up to plan for the solutions and $1million from an emergency fund has been released.
