Nairobi governor Mike Sonko once again affiremed that he does not hate Kikuyus as all his “side dishes” were from that tribe.
The governor has since some time in the while tried to redeem himself from statements he gave in March that several Mt Kenya leaders have been meeting at night to scuttle Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential ambitions in 2022.
Sonko further added that his cabinet had four Kikuyus. Apart from this, the chief of staff and the county secretary is also from the region.
He said that since it’s a season of forgiveness, it’s time people moved on and shunned bad politics.
Sonko also claimed that the Interior PS Karanja Kibicho was working with secret leaders from the Kikuyu community to get him labelled as a hurdle to the development of Kikuyus.
