Ugandan Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs Hon. Nakiwala Kiyingi recently banned fast rising rapper, Fresh Kid from performing in bars.
In the latest development, legendary singer Jose Chamelone has criticised the minister’s move.
According to Jose Chameleone, the minister should focus more on guiding Fresh Kid on becoming a better person in life other than stopping him from hitting the stage like she is suggesting.
Jose Chameleone made these comments while appearing on Facebook Live feed in USA where he currently resides with his family.
Jose Chameleone adds to a list of other celebrities that have criticised minister Nakiyingi’s move. These include; Victor Kamenyo, Kalifa Aganaga, Pallaso among others.
Fresh Kid is at the moment one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. He conquered the music biz within a blink of an eye however, he has been receiving negative energy from a section of the public. They say he should quit music and concentrate on school first.
Ugandan Singing sensation Sheebah Karungi also gave her thoughts on Fresh Kid’s current situation.
According to the diva, Fresh Kid deserves a chance and support. “Fresh Kid is a young boy trying to make ends meet as a musician. He is lucky, he has had a breakthrough that many musicians around dream of yet they want to stop him. No, he deserves a chance and support. It is not easy to get where he is right now, ” the “wankona” hitmaker said during one of her interviews.
