Poleni Wakenya! Uhuru Ends his Boring speech without firing anyone

Kenyans will have to wait for another time to see President Kenyatta firing some of his corrupt senior officials because that did not happen during his State of the Nation.

Kenyans had hoped the President will crack the whip on at least on Cabinet Secretary in the Arror and Kimwarer Dams Scam.

But Treasury CS Henry Rotich, whose name has been heavily mentioned in the scandal, can breath a sigh of relief as the president didn’t touch him.

Some people had expected the President to say the same things he has been saying for the past seven years, and it seems they were right.

His speech is set to evoke many reactions especially after he said the only thing that has been done is freeze accounts of some key individuals.

It wouldn’t be interesting to see how Kenyans will interpret this speech, especially as it did not touch on the serious matters affecting the country at the moment.

” There will be no turning back on the war against corruption as it is a just war, a war to prevent misuse of public resources for selfish interests by those we have entrusted to manage them. “

No action was taken on Thursday.
