Emiliano Sala’s undying love even at his death

Luiza Ungerer, 31, a volleyball player claims that she had a secret relationship with Emiliano Sala  and spoke to him just hours before the he died in a plane crash. She says that she last saw him on his birthday, one week before the tragic incident .They met while they were both playing for teams in France.

After hearing that the player’s body had been recovered, she wrote online;”Like you always said to me Thank you for being how you are. I’m going to love you forever!” She says that it was Sala’s dream to play in the Premier League, which he was heading to do when he was killed after a record £15million signing.

They started speaking over social media in September 2017, adding he was very happy to be heading to Cardiff from Nantes; ”It made me really glad because he was very happy. What I wanted was for him to come back. There are lots of people asking me horrible things about the accident. It’s really difficult.”

She describes him as a simple person with a pure heart and had no bad intentions. He would be surprised when people praised him in the street for his performances on the pitch.

On January 21 the aircraft left Nantes for Cardiff at 7.15pm. At 8.50pm the plane disappeared from radar in the English Channel. It was confirmed that  Sala was on board the flight, along with David Ibbotson, who had been piloting the plane. On February 6 a body seen in the plane’s wreckage was recovered, and the next day it was announced that the body was  Sala’s. Luiza says that she had clung on to hope after Sala disappeared because hope was all she had in the immediate aftermath.

Sala died from massive injuries to his head and chest and could only be identified by his fingerprints but the body of his pilot David Ibbotson was not found in the wreckage of the Piper Malibu that disappeared over the Channel.
