Mapepo yashindwe,ODM holds a consecration prayer for their candidate Sumra

Raila Odinga led party Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) on Sunday held special prayers for former Embakasi South Member of Parliament Irshad Sumra, who recently won on his election petition at Supreme Court.

In attendance to the special service are the party’s lawmakers, Members of County Assembly (MCAs) and party officials. The prayers are going down at Christ the Cornerstone Church in Kwa Reuben, next to hope centre in Embakasi South Constituency. The party is also scheduled to gear up for the by-elections.

“Today we shall have special prayers for Hon. Sumra at Christ the Cornerstone Church in Kwa Reuben, next to hope centre in Embakasi South Constituency as we gear up for the by-election. Members of Parliament, MCAs and Party officials will attend,” read a post on ODM’s official twitter page.

The Party has been over the recent past walking with their own to the victory. This was once depicted in the Migori County Senatorial by-elections, whereby ODM brigade including Raila himself, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and ODM Party officials campaigned for their candidate Ochilo Ayacko until he won.
