GrandPa records CEO Yusuf Noah famously known as Refigah yesterday called on a Kenyan artists and media to bring an end to their blame game and focus on finding a solution.

Yusuf Noah says that complaining never helps and therefore it is important for both parties to agree on a common ground.

Speaking during a press conference covered by Mseto East Africa, Yusuf said that he is aware the media is a business but also urged them to consider that some artists are dependent on their music as a source of income

He also added that it is not time to throw stones but instead artists should be ready to embrace competition and work towards giving the best.

Yusuf also claims that the media these day are lazy to do their research and that is why they fail to capture very important details in the music industry.

He also highlighted that at some point, there was a tour by Kenyan artists in to every province in Tanzania but the press might not have talked about it.

Yet the Wasafi Festival got all the hype  from the industry. It is okay to keep up with what is tending but he insists that this should not go overboard/

He also said that  Kenya cannot choose to block International music because there is demand and the only way is to do better by also encouraging upcoming artists.

Refigah says that there has been a culture of the same artists complaining over time and recycling. Not that it is bad for anyone who feels that they can survive in the industry.

He also adds that regulations have to be put in place so as to strike a balance.

Refigah also asked artists to go back to the drawing board and produce  crossoover music.
