Outspoken politician Duale reveals his sweet side to a student

After lots of hard work put into something many always expect success. This was the hope and story of national exam candidates this year. While some were disappointed with the schools they were called to including the top achievers some are devastated that due to their financial background they wont be able to continue pursuing their dreams.

NTV aired the story of Mohammed Abditalliff from Masalani village, Garissa County who scored 390 marks in KCPE but unfortunately despite the excellent performance, th family didn’t have school fees and therefore were pleading with well wishers to help them with the payment.

Following the story, Aden Duale has just shared a tweet revealing he has spoken to the family and agreed to sponsor the young man realise his dream.

Another family whose daughter scored 420 marks in KCPE is also pleading for financial assistance for the smart lady.

Over 50 percent of the candidates scored more than 250 marks and the government  promised 100 per cent transition from primary to secondary schools.

Pupils who scored more than 400 marks were to join national schools.

While releasing the results few weeks ago, Ms Amina said 12,273 candidates scored between 401 and 500 marks, which means that they will get a direct ticket to the 103 top schools.

Data released by Ministry of Education reveals that there are no adequate slots in secondary schools for 9,310 boys and 7,395 girls who sat the examination.

Overall, the data showed that of the 1,038,162 candidates who sat the examination, only 1,021,457 will have slots available for them in secondary schools. Some 31,337 students have already been placed across the 103 national schools.

Also already placed are 1,626 students to Special Needs Education schools. There are some 35 Special Needs Education (SNE) secondary schools, according to ministry data.
