Kiambu Governor James Nyoro found himself on the wrong side of grieving the death of former President Daniel Moi.
Nyoro was trolled by netizens over his petty mistake in the message portrayed in one of the local dailies.
The information had not one, but two grammatical errors of massive proportions.
The County boss who is remarked to be averagely eloquent during his first speech in office, horrendously spelt the word peace wrongly.
If that was not enough, Nyoro crowned it by ‘murdering English’ with attributing two different words.
“His Nyayo philosophy which meant following the footsteps Mzee Jomo Kenyatta coupled with his philosophy of Love, Peach and Unity made Kenya a great nation.
“May God Almighty Rest his soul in internal peace,” read the statement by the Kiambu Governor.
Here are some of the reactions:
Ireri Kiura stated, “Nyoro should avoid such, who paid for this Advert full of grammatical errors?, he will also be facing the same MCAs in the fullness of time. Watch the space.”
Macharia Mwangi noted, “Seems Nyoro is not that different from Waititu… lol.”

In Kiambu, it is the name of the Governor that changed. James Nyoro Spent hundreds of thousands to pay tribute to former President Moi on the Daily Nation.

In January this year, Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga left Kenyans in stitches after he also made a mistake in his message to the late Kobe Bryant.
Through a tweet, Kahiga instead of referring to the legendary basketball by his nickname, ended up calling him something different.
The Central Kenya leader cited ‘Mwamba’ instead of ‘Mamba’.
The athlete had got the name in 2003.
In embarrassment, the county boss pulled down the tweet and replace it with the correct term.
Despite the effort, the damage had been done as netizens already had screenshots of the message and circulated it online.
A section of his followers were puzzled at why his photo was attached to the message.
The phrase ‘the internet does not forget’ will haunt Kahiga in the future if a similar error is repeated.
