Examination cheats are on the spot after firebrand Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i and his Education counterpart Prof George Magoha promised an all-out war on those intending to cut corners.
Dr Matiang’i said that all senior police officers across the 47 counties will be on duty during the entire examination period and that nothing would be left to chance.

The Interior CS also warned police bosses against coming up with excuses over irregularities at examinations storage centres.
CS Matiang’i dispelled fears of delays in the delivery of examinations to all areas saying that the Government had acquired military new aircraft to coordinate efficient delivery of the same.
On his part, Education CS Prof Magoha noted with concern that wily teachers who will be found to have delayed returning of exams scripts will be arrested and charged.

The CS also noted that far-flung areas who may take advantage of the distance to leak exams to students are also under their radar.
He said the ministry had earmarked cheating hotspots and that they would be having their ears on the ground to make arrests should anything suspicious be noted.

Speaking at the Kenya School of Government- Nairobi, Magoha warned parents of attempting to leak exams for their children in schools, saying several arrests would be made.
He also advised members of the public to be wary of name-dropping cons who may use his name to extort money in order to ‘leak exams.’

This comes after examination dates were released by the Ministry as starting from October 28th- 31st for KCPE and from October 21st-November 27th for KCSE.
