It seems Fatuma Gedi always attracts trouble. The Controversial Wajir Woman Representative has been caught up in a nasty fight with Majority Leader of the National Assembly Aden Duale.
Fatuma Gedi last week Thursday was roughed in parliament by Wajir East MP Rashid Kassim.
Gedi was left with a bloody mouth after the morning incident in Parliament precincts in a reportedly unprovoked attack by Kassim.
Witnesses said Kassim accused Gedi – who sits in the Budget Committee – of failing to allocate money for his constituency.
“I was just walking with my colleague Ms Wanga when he accosted me and started calling me stupid and within minutes he punched me on the cheek,” Ms Gedi said.
The same situation almost repeated itself in Parliament during the Budget committee meeting.
Fatuma Gedi this time round was caught up on live camera shouting at Aden Duale while he was addressing the National Assembly.
Gedi was called to order by the National assembly speaker Justin Muturi.
Aden Duale played in cool avoid any further provocation. Instead Hon Duale stated that he is a very peaceful man.
“Even if the ladies in this house slap me, i will not slap them back, Im a very peaceful man, stated Duale.”
Instead Duale asked Gedi to follow the laid down procedures of the House.
Finally I found why Hon Fatuma Gedi was slapped last week, she doesn't respect men. Where I come from women don't shout at men. pic.twitter.com/cjbV4wuePy
