The latest released opinion poll released by Insights Strategists Solutions (ISS) Africa ranked Deputy President William Ruto as the most preferred candidate to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of Opposition Leader Raila Odinga and Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko.
The survey which saw 1,700 people interviewed across the country, Ruto lead the poll at 30.81 per-cent with Raila Odinga following closely at 27.5% while Sonko came in third with 12.8%.
Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi came a distant fourth, followed closely by Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka with 9.3 and 8.5 percent respectively.
The poll which has not been received well by a good number of Kenyans so far showed that DP Ruto is leading in Nairobi (28pc), Central (51pc) and Rift Valley with 65 per cent.
Raila on the other hand, is the preferred candidate in Nyanza (66pc) and Western (32pc).
At number 4 is Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria with 9.6 per cent.
Reacting on social media, a good number on Kenyans now claim that the polls are have been released too early and irrelevant at the moment while others expressed their disapproval on Ruto being the most preferred presidential candidates. Kenyans went on to urge leaders to concentrate more on delivery.

These people are polling even people who have not declared their candidacy. Raila has never declared, so is Sonko. Capital FM is receiving a fat cheque from RUTO.
