World Cup winner Paul Pogba has shocked fans after reports emerged claiming that the midfielder is looking for a summer exit from his boyhood club Manchester United. Paul Pogba was named in the PFA team of the year after a stellar campaign but could do little to help Manchester United avoid a 6th place finish in the league as well as end up trophyless.

After three seasons at the club since his return, he appears to be getting itchy feet again and said to reporters during United’s promotional tour to Japan: “After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well… I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.”

A World Class midfielder, the French man has the ability to decide matches on his own, as he did last season for Manchester United and for the French National team whom he led to a World Cup triumph in Russia last summer. However, like most players, Paul Pogba is not irreplaceable and Manchester United should not be held hostage by a single player.

Even during their successful periods, Manchester United lost World Class players in the likes of David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Carlos Tevez just to name a few. This did not stop the club from moving forward and winning things, in fact, they got better at it and the same applies to the Pogba situation.

Besides, Paul Pogba’s stature in the modern game would see him fetch a good transfer fee which would then be reinvested in the squad which is clearly lacking talent wise, especially in defense. The clubs lining up for his signature include Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain who are by no means short of cash.

Losing Paul would obviously derive Manchester United of a game changer but it would not be the end of the World for the club. In fact, it would present them with a very good chance to restructure their squad ahead of the next season. What do you think? Should Manchester United sell or keep Paul Pogba at the club?
