Moses Kuria reveals the struggle and misuse of 30B released by World Bank

Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has announced that the World Bank has donated 30 Billion to Kenya.

The money is aimed at improving counties infrastructure support.

In the World Bank’s wisdom, the National Government allows the counties to control these funds and releases Ksh 11 Billion to them .

The counties then divert the same for recurrent expenditure including Kaa Sober. Which is not the intention of the money donated by world bank.

Moses Kuria has stated that has a result of the counties putting the donated money into other projects, Governors says they will go to war over Ksh 9 Billion ‘hole’ in Division of Revenue and again they do not want the cost of centrally managed medical equipment to be accounted as part of the devolved funds.

He goes ahead and say that under such conditions the National governments ends blaming counties for funds misappropriation while The World Bank may shy away from further donations.
