Arsenal Star ‘incredibly gutted’ after being omitted from World Cup squad

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has taken on social media to express his disappointment after being omitted from the England Squad that is set to take part in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The midfielder who has made 38 appearances for Arsenal in all comeptitions this season was left out of Gareth Southgate 23 Man squad together with Joe Hart and Ryan Bertrand.

On his official Twitter account, the midfielder stated that having been fit through the season he deserved to have a place in the side that is set to compete for the world most coveted trophy.

“Think its about time I had my say… It goes without saying that I’m naturally incredibly disappointed to have been left out of the England squad for the World Cup. I’ve felt fit, sharp and strong all season and believe I should be in the squad!” His post reads

“And given the chance, i could have made a real impact.  However, I have to respect the manager’s decision and would like to wish the whole squad all the very best for the tournament. I will always be an England fan and will be supporting the boys with the rest of the nation, “ he added.

Wilshere has made 34 appearances for England scoring two goals.
