Liverpool are reportedly moving closer to landing Barcelona player Ousmane Dembele, with the Reds initially linked with the player in a loan capacity and now being linked with a permanent move.
Apparently, due to the money still to be paid for the Philippe Coutinho deal, Liverpool are in pole position to land the young winger – who hasn’t made the impression he wanted at Barcelona so far after struggling with injury issues and with a possible move for Antoine Griezmann this summer, the player could leave before he’s even had a chance.
Liverpool having an edge to sign Dembélé over other clubs makes sense because part of the Coutinho deal. Barça owes them a lot of money.
