As the nation is still struggling to fathom the gruesome murder of a female medical Moi University student trainee at the Eldoret referral Hospital in broad day light, another incident has raised alarm over relationship violence surge in Kenya lately.
Sadly, a family from Shambere village in Malava Constituency, Kakamega County, is mourning the death of their daughter who was allegedly murdered by her husband after a dispute ensued between them
The incident happened at the suspect’s house in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County where the man is said to have stabbed the wife identified as Khanali Mwonobe on the neck using a kitchen knife.
Neighbors say the couple engaged in a domestic fight that led the man to pick a knife and stab his wife.
Upon receiving a phone call of the murder, the victim’s sister Emily said she traveled to Eldoret where she found the husband burning her sister’s clothes.
She further found the body of Khanali lying lifeless on the bed.
Police have since launched investigations into the incident whose motive remains unclear
