Three suspected thugs were gunned down by police on Wednesday morning in Lucky Summer area, Nairobi.
The three, according to the police, had broken into an apartment in the area armed with crude weapons and started terrorising the tenants.
Police on patrol responded to the tenants’ distress call and shot three suspects while two of their accomplices escaped on foot.
An assortment of household goods were recovered from the slain suspects.
Meanwhile, in another robbery incident, three men were on Tuesday arrested for allegedly stealing from a Chinese Water Tunnel Construction Company at Mairi site, Nairobi.
The suspects – Paul Maina Muniu, Peter Ndua Kilele and Ezekiel Maina Mwangi – were arrested after a burglary was reported at the construction site.
The arrest came after several items, which were earlier reported stolen from the company, were found in the men’s possession.
