Ford Kenya leaders has accused president Uhuru Kenyatta of ignoring their party leader Moses Wetangula during the launch of Huduma Number.
They state that it’s unfortunate that Uhuru invited all the NASA officials but decided to ignore our leader.
Deputy president William Ruto didn’t also attend the event,a move that Kenyans have questioned.
Wafula Wanzala a staunch supporter of Ford Kenya amd Wetangula said that Wetangula was an equal partner with Musalia,Raila and Kalonzo.
“What Uhuru tried to portray to the nation isn’t a good thing, he could have invited Wetangula for him to decline but the message he sent isn’t welcome by the Luhya nation,” he said.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka,was representing Uhuru at Ihura stadium Murang’a County.
“Representing President Uhuru Kenyatta at the launch of Huduma Namba at Ihura stadium, Murang’a County I also registered for my Huduma Namba,”
President Uhuru Kenyatta dispatched Raila Odinga and other high-profile personalities to oversee the controversial Huduma Namba launch at the coast.
It was first piloted in Nairobi, Makueni, Uasin Gishu, Embu, Busia, Kajiado, Baringo, Marsabit, Kilifi, Kisii, Tana River, Embu, Kisumu, and Wajir counties.
Also Musalia had also represented Uhuru.
It is a one-stop shop where it creates, manages, maintains and operates a national register for individuals’ details. NIIMS is a national programme for the mandatory registration of all Kenyan citizens and registered foreign residents in Kenya. It was established in the 2018 Amendment of Registration of Persons Act Section 9A.
The government had said the Huduma Namba will be a useful tool for it in national planning, social services, project resource allocation and even project infrastructure.
