Babu Owino urges government to halt demolitions in Mihango Ward

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has requested the government to stop the ongoing demolition in Mihango Ward.

The MP intervened in the matter after it emerged that homes are being destroyed and residents evicted in the Mihango area of Embakasi East.

Babu Owino strongly condemned this action describing it as senseless.

The vocal MP says that the President has laid out affordable housing as his personal priority in the four point agenda he put forward for his second term yet there are government agencies working hard to undermine this vision by deliberately going against this directive.

Instead of building more homes to accommodate more Kenyans, he blamed the government agencies for destroying houses and rendering people homeless.

He also questioned why the government hates Embakasi East and does things against the favour of his people.

Babu Owino also highlighted the issue of JKIA takeover stating that it will also affect his people since they risk loosing their jobs.

He also warned that the culture of impunity and destruction must come to an end in Kenya.
