The price of super petrol has gone up by 34 cents while that of diesel and kerosene went up by 78 cents and Sh1.50 per litre.
Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) attributed the raise on the average landed cost of super petrol which increased by 1.18 per cent while diesel increased by 2.91 per cent and kerosene by 3.06 per cent.
βThe purpose of the fuel pricing regulations is to cap the pump prices of the products which are already in the country so that the importation and other prudently incurred costs are recovered, while ensuring reasonable prices to consumers,β Robert Oimeke said.
