KPL Match Day 2 Preview: Will Sofapaka halt Bandari’s resurgence?

Seven matches will be played as the SportPesa Premier League (2018/19) season enters Round Two this coming weekend.

The Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega will host a doubleheader on Saturday 15th December; Nzoia Sugar FC versus Mathare United and Kakamega Homeboyz versus AFC Leopards. This action will be live on KTN Burudani TV.

Chemelil Sugar who were beaten by Mathare United last week will be out to claim their first points of the season when they host Vihiga United on Saturday.

Sunday will see Mt.Kenya United square it out with title contenders Mathare United at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru. The Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos will be home to the higlight of the weekend when Sofapaka host Bandari from 3pm. Bandari started the season with a statement win over defending Champions Gor Mahia on match day 1.

Western Stima will be keen to build on their away win to Posta Rangers lat week when they hst 2016 KPL champions Tusker at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu while Ulinzi Stars will be hosts to newbies KCB at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru from 4.15 pm.

  1. Nzoia Sugar FC vs Mathare United – 1 PM – Bukhungu (Live on KTN Burudani)
  2. Chemelil Sugar FC vs Vihiga United – 3 PM – Chemelil
  3. Kakamega Homeboyz vs AFC Leopard – 3:15 PM – Bukhungu (Live on KTN Burudani)

Sunday 16th December 

  1. Mt Kenya United vs Posta Rangers – 2 PM – Afraha Stadium, Nakuru
  2. Sofapaka vs Bandari –  3 PM – Machakos
  3. Western Stima vs Tusker FC – 3 PM – Kisumu
  4. Ulinzi Stars vs KCB FC – 4:15 PM – Afraha Stadium, Nakuru
