Meru MCAs Hint at Fourth Impeachment Motion Against Governor Kawira Mwangaza; 5 Photos of General Ogolla’s Family During Happy Times & Dollar Rally Drives Shilling to 5-day Weakening Streak

Good morning,

Kenya is still mourning the death of fallen Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) General Francis Ogolla who was laid to rest in Siaya County on Sunday.

The funeral service, held with full military honours, served as a special tribute to General Ogolla’s decades of unwavering service, leadership, and sacrifice.

The ceremony was attended by dignitaries, military personnel, and citizens from across the nation who mourned the military stalwart and praised him for his indomitable spirit, unwavering dedication to duty, and unparalleled leadership.

However, the funeral did not end without some politics in it. The president and his Kenya Kwanza politicians continued with their fair share of the 2022 Bomas narrative that Mr Ogolla wanted to overturn the President’s win.

CS Duale defended Ogolla saying that the fallen soldier confided in him and that he was sent to the Bomas of Kenya to represent his boss.

On the other side, Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka and Siaya Senator urged the family of the late Ogolla to be open to probe into the plane crash that claimed the life of the Chief of Defence Forces.

Meanwhile, here are stories making headlines on the Opera News app today;
