Mudavadi Hints at President Ruto Supporting Raila AU Job Bid: Kenyan Banks Reveals Current Dollar Buying, Selling Rates & How AU Bid Affects Raila Odinga, Azimio’s Political Game

Good morning,

It is on a beautiful Friday morning and the 2027 political direction for Azimio la Umoja camp seems to have taken another shift.

Raila Odinga’s Thursday decision to contest the African Union Commission chairperson position next year has thrown into serious doubt his 2027 presidential bid as well as his support for fellow Azimio la Umoja presidential hopefuls.

This means that Raila  could be forced to exit the local political stage should he be elected the AU Commission chair for a four-year term.

The decision by Raila to bid for the plum position is likely to slow down his local political activities as taking up the role would require him to develop a good working relationship with leaders across the continent, including President Ruto.

Since Odinga would be banking on the support of President Ruto in his bid, he is likely to slow down his criticism against the Kenya Kwanza administration.

Do you think time is ripe for Raila to leave Kenyan politics and go International? Who should take over Azimio mantle from him?
