On Monday, President William Ruto and Chief Justice Martha Koome finally ended their recent feud after reaching an agreement at the State House.
According to the State House Spokesperson, Hussein Mohamed, the duo signed an agreement that will see the three arms of government work in unison to eradicate corruption.
The Judiciary also scored a huge win after the Head of State agreed to CJ Koome’s request for increased budgetary support to facilitate the recruitment of an additional 25 Judges of the High Court.
This comes weeks after rising tensions between the Judiciary and the Executive where President Ruto threatened to bypass court orders to push the government’s agenda.
Moreover, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua had vowed to present a petition calling for the removal of Justice Esther Maina before shelving the plan.
