It is on a chilly Thursday morning and the political tussles inside the ruling UDA party seems to be far from over.

While DP Rigathi Gachagua has maintained that all is well “I am joined with the president at the hip” there are clear depictions that there is a clear simmering tension in the yellow camp.

Fears of a rift between the two leaders were voiced by CS Aisha Jumwa on Wednesday. The remarks were echoed by United Democratic Alliance (UDA) chairperson Cecily Mbarire.

With a possible closing of ranks at the National Dialogue Committee, some observers believe Mr Gachagua is getting isolated.

The DP has repeatedly criticized the committee.
