Fuel Prices Cross the Sh200 Mark in New Epra Review; Itumbi Embarrassed by Angry Netizens as he Tries Defending Sharp Increase in Fuel Prices & “Kenya is Broke” David Ndii Claims After Fuel Increase Controversy

Good morning,

Earlier in the week, Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja announced a drive to ready the county for the dreaded El Nino season which is set to commence next month.

As part of the drive, inspections will be done on residential buildings to determine their safety standards with the aim of averting loss of lives due to building collapse which is common in the wet season.

Youth will also be dispatched to estates to unclog drain pipes and sewers, a move that will help to avert flooding within the city.

This is a very encouraging move from the Nairobi county leadership since we are used to the government acting only after disasters strike.

We hope those charged with these and other mitigation duties will serve faithfully in their roles, and that other counties will also borrow a leaf.
