What International Community is Reportedly Doing to Raila in UK After Attacking Whitman; Kenya Kwanza MPs Go After President Ruto’s Cabinet Secretaries & Win For Raila After What Technical Committee Has Decided About Opening of 2022 Servers

Good morning,

Today, the web is awash with reports of the death of Wagner Group leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin following a plane crash.

The Wagner Group is the force behind Russia’s successful invasion of Ukraine and has been sustaining Russia’s onslaught on Ukrainian areas that are yet to be captured.

In June, Prigozhin had a falling out with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin after he accused Russia of mistreatment of his soldiers.

This led to a threatened coup against Putin, with Wagner forces marching jubilantly towards Moscow, Russia’s capital.

The coup was, however, called off at the last minute.

Tension has been hanging over Russia ever since, with Putin being in the spotlight over his next move, though he has remained silent.

It is no surprise, therefore, that Wednesday’s reported plane crash has been heavily blamed on Putin, although details are yet to be released on the matter.

It is also not yet confirmed if Prigozhin indeed was on the ill-fated plane, though Western media is reporting that his name was on the passenger manifest.

As we wait for more details, the whole situation is interesting to reflect upon: How politics and power struggles can turn friends into foes and drive some to their graves.

Meanwhile, here are the stories making headlines on Opera News today:
