Today marks the third day of maandamano which Azimio party leader Raila Odinga described as the grand finale despite failing to show up in the first  2 days of the protest.

Speaking of his absence, the ODM party leader explained that he was suffering from flu but remained in contact with other leaders who were leading demonstrations in different regions.

Raila emphasized that these protests were organized for the benefit of Kenyans, and it wasn’t necessary for all Azimio co-principals to be physically present.

In other news, President William Ruto has yet again clarified on whether he is willing to have a power-sharing agreement with his political rival, Raila Odinga amid the ongoing anti-government protests.

While speaking to Isiolo and Meru residents, Ruto affirmed that he will not succumb to pressure and engage in any reconciliation with Raila.

He further lauded police officers for quelling the protests across the nation, and he believed that Kenyans were avoiding participating in the demonstrations because they wanted to avoid the country descending into chaos and anarchy.
