Ruto Troops: We Shall Trounce Raila-Uhuru Alliance; Raila Launches Mt Kenya Offensive, to Be Hosted in Nyeri & Kajiado Mother Loses One-Month Old Baby to Stranger She Met in Hospital

Good morning,

As the days go by, our country seems to be falling deeper and deeper into the pit of confusion.

Our politicians are all over one another, joining and leaving coalitions ahead of the 2022 polls, and our President has chosen to remain quiet amidst all the hate being directed towards him as his term comes to an end.

Although the countdown to the Election has started, we are still quite far from the date, and the government still has about a year of governance left.

Therefore, it is unfair to citizens when those charged with governing the country appear to have thrown in the towel to focus on personal vendettas and aspirations.

Our Head of State needs to find a way to harmonize his team for the final lap, to avoid leading the country into the route of anarchy that we seem to be currently on.

Perhaps a final reshuffle of the cabinet is appropriate to allow for objective ministries’ leadership.

Action also needs to be taken against hate speech as early as now; it is unsettling to see how politicians are quick to insult one another on social media, a tool with the potential of fueling widespread hate and violence, which is what we are trying to avoid by all means possible.

As we wait to see what Uhuru Kenyatta’s final lap will entail, here are the stories making headlines on Opera News today:

The President on Tuesday held talks with Raila Odinga (ODM), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Gideon Moi (Kanu) and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula in a fresh bid to reunite them.
