Mwangi Kiunjuri Renews War with President Uhuru (VIDEO)

Former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri has renewed his fight against President Uhuru, citing alleged mistreatment of Central Kenya leaders opposed to the administration.

In his remarks on Sunday, Kiunjuri who was sacked by Uhuru after long-drawn public spats appeared to suggest the move was occasioned by his siding with Deputy President William Ruto.

“Who has insulted President Uhuru more than Gladys Wanga, Junet  Mohamed, Joho, Babu Owino, Orengo and his friend Raila Odinga?” quipped Kiunjuri.

But today if Kiunjuri and Moses Kuria stand to speak about the prioritization of development agenda over Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), they are hunted down by the DCI, KRA and EACC,” added Kiunjuri.

Kiunjuri was widely seen to be angling for the pole position of Mt Kenya region before the sack after he marshalled more than 50 leaders in the region to a meeting of Tangatanga-allied leaders.

In a joint-meeting with DP Ruto, the former CS promised to support Ruto even if it meant forming Opposition together after 2022.

Kiunjuri was an instrumental figure in the Jubilee coalition campaigns in Central Kenya and Rift Valley in 2017 before he fell out with President Uhuru.

The 2018, March 9 handshake between President Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga that birthed BBI would be a major wedge in the Jubilee party.
