Kiambu County Governor Dr James Nyoro has clarified claims that he had appointed a female deputy.
Reports emerged on Thursday that Dr Nyoro had appointed Caroline Waithera Ndungu as his deputy.

However, Nyoro has dismissed the claims, insisting that he had made no changes in his government yet.
Nyoro’s claims of appointing his deputy comes a week after High court Judge James Makau declined to issue orders stopping him from appointing a DG.
The Judge in his ruling said the appointment of a deputy governor is not a single act but a process.
This was after former governor Ferdinand Waititu moved to court in a bid to stop the process last week.
Nyoro through lawyer Kibe Mungai accused Waititu of amending his petition through the backdoor since there was no order stopping him from appointing a DG filed in court.
