Edwin Lavatsa Returns As Gor Mahia Add Eight New Players To Their Squad

Kenya Premier League defending champions Gor Mahia have bolstered their squad with eight new additions in the January transfer window.

Edwin Lavatsa makes a comeback to K Ogallo from fellow Kenya Premier League side Kakamega Homeboyz. The striker is a former league champion with Gor Mahia.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko midfielder Jackson Owusu has also joined Steven Pollack’s side. Kibera Black Stars Nicholas Omondi and Micheal Apudo from Posta Rangers will also be part of the Gor Mahia squad.

The champions have also signed a player from Tanzania giant Yanga. The said player is Juma Balinya whois joined up by Clinton Okoth from Migori Youth FC.

Two internal promotions have been made with Alphonce Omija and Alpha Onyango earning promotions to the first team from the Gor Mahia youth team. Meanwhile, Philemon Otieno who is still revering after undergoing knee surgery last month has renewed his contract with the record champions.

Gor Mahia currently sits at the top of the Kenya Premier League table with 41 points and a game in hand, two points above of Kakamega Homeboyz in second and three above Tusker in third.
