Has Nairobi County boss Mike Mbuvi Sonko transformed into a man of God? Well, his recent social media posts tells all.
After all the woes following him, the county chief seems to have turned more Godly.
Of late, his posts have been inspirational, probably meant to touch lives out there.
As Kenyans prepare to usher in another new year, Sonko has taken to social media to put hope and smile on their face.
On Friday morning, Sonko through his official facebook account noted that his heart was aching for someone, whose heart is heavy, because he/she is looking back into 2019 with pain and disappointment.
Despite all the disappointments Kenyans might have faced in this ending year 2019, Sonko has spoken comfort upon their lives.
He spoke healing into people’s hearts peace of God that surpasses all human understanding upon their lives.
“Coming Soon, Year 2020 I speak comfort. I release healing into your heart. I speak the peace of God that surpasses all human understanding upon you. Peace, Peace,” reads part of the statement.
The county chief further prayed for Shalom of God to overshadow Kenyans as they approach the New year in Jesus’ name, noting that there is hope for their future.
Sonko is facing corruption charges and has so far been barred from accessing his office.
He is also facing assault charges where is is accused of assaulting a senior police officer at the time of his arrest in Voi.
He is set to be charged in a Voi court on January 21 next year.
This is after he failed to show up in court on December 18, 2019 citing health issues.
