The body of a 40-year-old woman suspected to have been brutally murdered was on Saturday found dumped in the forest in Seregeya Sub Location in Likuyani Sub County.
Area Assistant Chief Diana Owano said the body was found by two boys who were grazing animals in the forest.
“The boys were looking after cattle in the forest near Kambi Mapesa Primary School when they discovered the body hidden in one of the thickets inside the forest then they alerted the area village elder who later informed me,” she said.
According to the administrator, the deceased who hails from the neighboring Turbo Sub County was in a love relationship with Mugasali and on the fateful day, the two lovebirds had spent the day together in a friend’s house within Kambi Mapesa village.
She said after giving his house to the two lovers, the owner only identified by the nickname as Junior, alerted Mugasali’s wife.
“The wife then waylaid Chepkor as she left for home in the evening, accosted and attacked her with a sharp object killing her on the spot before dumping her body in the forest and fled,” she explained.
The administrator, together with officers from Turbo police station visited the scene where they found the body of the woman identified as Lillian Chepkor with visible injuries.
