Manchester United has been handed a major boost after Timothy Mensah and Eric Bailly resumed training after lengthy layoffs.
The two have not featured for United this season after undergoing surgery Eric picked his injury during pre-season with United while Mensah got injured while on loan at Fulham. They have been on rehabilitation and were recently spotted training at AON training complex.
Asked whether the two are close to making a comeback, Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was positive particularly on Bailly who he believes will be back soon.
“They’re working on the grass; they’re working with the fitness staff. I think we can see them coming into training, especially Eric, in the next two to three weeks. Hopefully, he can join the boys and he won’t take too long. Maybe we’ll see them in a Reserves [Under-23s] game but I think they’ve both come through the surgery well,” he stated.
On Paul Pogba, the tactician stated that he expects the French midfielder back in December.
“I think Paul said it himself, didn’t he? It won’t be too long until he’s out of his cast and he’s going to work through the international break. Hopefully, we’ll have him back in early December,”.
