Manchester United have, in a special way, sent best wishes to their former top goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar on his birthday, and fans are excited. They wish the Ajax CEO could still play at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have taken to their social media page with a commemorating video of the man who stood between their sticks from 2005 to 2011 appearing for the club 186 times.
During that period, Van Der Sar became a fans’ darling with his heroics and unbelievable saves at critical times. For this, he was nicknamed The Jolly Green Giant, Van der Gol, The Flying Dutchman, Ice Rabbit and Edwin crazy.
As he turns 49, and while serving as Ajax boss, Manchester United fans have shown him much love.
