European champions, Liverpool are set to rival Manchester United for services of Borussia Dortmund attacker, Jadon Sancho in the summer, this is according to reports in Europe.
The winger had been linked with a move to Manchester United last summer but a move failed to materialize as the German side ruled out selling the youngster who was one of the most sought-after players in Europe.
The Reds are keen on beefing up their attack forward-line in 2020 and have earmarked the England international for signing as they seek to continue with their recently rediscovered dominance in Europe.
Former Liverpool and Germany midfielder, Dietmar Hamann has confirmed that the Reds are interested in bringing the speedster on board in the summer.
“What I hear is that Liverpool has great interest. I would imagine that next summer they could become one of the biggest interested parties. He’s from Manchester City and I do not know if he would come back again, and it’s a thing for Manchester United, too, if they’ve ever been to the rivals, “he said.
“There are currently a few players that could reinforce [Liverpool’s] offensive [lineup]. I don’t know if Sancho’s such a player, but maybe if there’s one going away from those three, then Sancho would be predestined for this offensive alliance”.
