A man from Kakamega Town died on Wednesday morning after he was pushed out of a moving matatu by the vehicle’s tout.

Police have arrested the Livingston Indimuli, tout, and Simon Oteng, driver, in connection with the death of the middle-aged man.

The suspects are being held at the Kakamega police post.

It is alleged that Indimuli, who works for the Western Shuttles Sacco, differed with the victim over reasons before pushing him out of the vehicle, which was at high speed.

The victim died on the spot after hitting his head against the tarmac road.

The incident happened a few meters from the Kakamega Police Station on the Kakamega-Kisumu highway.

Kakamega OCPD David Kabena told K24 TV that the tout and the passenger possibly could have differed overpricing.
