They say that the apple doesn’t fall away from the tree and when it comes to Babu Owino and his children, this statement rings 100% true. This is because his children are a spitting image of their famous father.
The firebrand politician recently showed his softer side in a few pictures taken with his beautiful kids and fans were touched upon seeing this easy-going side of him.
His children are a product of his 9-year marriage to Fridah Muthoni Ongili who he met while they were both students at the University of Nairobi.
Speaking during an interview with Up Close with Betty, Fridah spilled the tea on her relationship with the handsome politician.
Fridah revealed that theirs is “Not a perfect marriage because we are two imperfect people who have come together… so we just work at it every day. That’s marriage. When it’s good you enjoy, when it’s bad you just weather it and you just keep moving on.”
She also commented on his controversial behaviour that is often the subject of blogs, social sites and traditional media.“He’s actually not as crazy as people think he is, Babu is really chill. Maybe what you see, what is in the media and what is exposed is that he is insane.”
Mrs Ongili then gushed about her hubster by saying that despite his crazy personality he has a good heart and he is funny.
“He has a good heart, of his qualities for sure that is the most endearing thing….The crazy things people say about him, (laughs), maybe napenda kawazimu kidogo, because he is so funny, he is so good to be around,” she added.
