Sony Sugar boss eyeing Bandari scalp

Sony Sugar FC head coach James Nandwa says his team will give it’s best against Bandari to get a home win for the fans when the two clubs face-off at Awendo Green Stadium on Sunday September 22.

Nandwa, who was recently appointed by Sony as head coach is currently trying to rebuild the squad after mass exits that saw the club lose 24 players to rival sides due to financial challenges.

They began their 2019/20 Kenyan Premier League campaign with a 3-0 defeat to KCB at the start of the month before stunning Nzoia Sugar 2-1 at Sudi Stadium a week ago.

Next are the Dockers and the former Harambee Stars coach says the team will try to win the game although he admits it will be an uphill task.

“The target is to win at home. We want to give our fans something to enjoy and the boys are determined to make it happen. It will not be an easy game because though, Bandari is a strong side, they play in Caf Confederation Cup and so we have to approach the game positively and try to get a desired result, I believe it’s something we can achieve,” he stated.

Bandari started their campaign with a 0-0 draw against Mathare United before coming from two goals down to beat Zoo FC 3-2 in their second match.
