Makwatta Promises to Bang Goals for AFC Leopards Against Wazito

AFC Leopards striker John Makwatta says he will try to score as many goals as possible when they face Wazito FC on Saturday.

Ingwe are playing against the Fred Ambani-coached outfit at Bukhungu Stadium and the former Ulinzi Stars forward is oozing confidence. He says his side needs many goals so as to better their position on the Kenyan Premier League table.

“My target is to score as many goals as I can so as to help the team stay at a good position. Our preparation ahead of the match has been super good and I think it will yield fruits. The team’s spirit is high for the game, so we urge fans to rally behind us for a collectively good performance,” he said.

He was speaking a few hours before departing to Kakamega County where the match will be staged. Head coach Andre Casa Mbungo has named a 20-man squad, including Makwatta, to do the duty.

Placed at position 15 on the log from two matches, Ingwe are going into the Wazito match without a win.

Here is the team from which an 18-man lineup will be picked;

Goalkeepers: Ezekiel Owade, Benjamin Ochan.

Defenders: Soter Kayumba, Robert Mudenyu, Isaac Kipyegon , Collins Shivachi , Dennis Sikhayi.

Midfielders: John Wonder, Bonface Mukhekhe, Whyvonne Isuza , Tresor Ndikumana , Eugene Mukangula, Said Tsuma , Clyde Senaji , Vincent Habamahoro.

Forwards: Brian Marita, John Makwata , Vincent Oburu , Hansel Ochieng and Ismail Diara.
