Vihiga Granite Rugby Club have stamped authority by expelling one of their players Calvin Abash.

Four days ago, the club fired a stern warning to players and some members of the technical bench that whoever shows any sort of indiscipline would be fired.

“As a player, you need to have good moral values and respect which are the core values of Vihiga Granites RFC, hence Granite will be parting ways with some players and some few individuals in the technical bench, once the committee completes its investigation tomorrow,” the club tweeted.

And on Tuesday, September 17, the club announced the expulsion of Abash, who joined the outfit about nine months ago. As a result of this, fear has engulfed the club; players and some technical bench members expecting the same fate due to an unmentioned indiscipline case.

“Calvin Abash has been expelled from Vihiga Granites RFC by its management committee because of his indiscipline. That is against the laws of the team as it is stipulated in the constitution. We, therefore, wish him the best elsewhere and further action to be taken against him.”

This development comes barely a week ahead of the team’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) from which a new squad for the upcoming season will be unveiled.
