The reason behind the decision is yet to be revealed.

In March this year, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s social media accounts were suspended.

It was reported that the move was arrived at after it was discovered that the accounts had been hacked by some staff in his office.

Uhuru’s twitter account was the first one to be temporarily taken offline and then later his Facebook and Instagram accounts followed suite.

The shocking discovery had led to an air of speculation that Twitter was responsible for the suspension.

Tension had hit new levels when no communication had been made when the incident occurred.

Speculation had been made that action had been taken against the Head of State hours after he had tweeted a stern warning in regards to the fight against corruption.

“If you are corrupt we will fight you. You can be my brother or my sister or my closest political ally, but if you are corrupt we will fight you,” remarked Uhuru when delivering his speech in Namibia.
